539 Tremont Street Boston

Grab a seat on love's merry-go-round as Moliere's rarely performed gem Lovers' Quarrels makes its way to the Boston Center for the Arts. Translated into English verse by Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Wilbur, this play tells of a young woman named Ascagne who, for the sake of a family inheritance, has been forced to spend her life disguised as a man. But after she falls in love with the rejected suitor in pursuit of her sister, Ascagne will begin an adventurous masquerade filled with witty comic mix-ups and jealous rivalries.
