Central Square Theater
450 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge

The world premiere of Sila, a dramatic tale of climate change that has already won awards for its writing, blends Inuit myth with modern Arctic policy to tell its pressing story. In the northernmost Canadian territory of Nunavut lies Baffin Island, current home to Sila's eight characters -- including an Inuit activist, a climatologist, an Inuit hunter and two polar bears -- whose lives will all change as their values are challenged in the face of a growingly unstable environment and world. Because in Sila, the Arctic is melting -- and everyone wants a piece of it.
