Faust meets professional baseball in this Tony-winning Broadway sendup of love and America's favorite pastime. Joe Boyd is a die-hard fan who sells his soul to the devil to become a star player for his beloved Washington Senators. Joe quickly becomes a sensation, but his success is hard-won, and as the Senators' stats soar, Joe realizes he's losing his wife. As Joe tries to get close to her, the Devil uses the skills of a seductive temptress named Lola to try and keep him away.
