140 Clarendon Street Boston

Julie Andrews famously starred as Eliza Doolittle, the feisty Cockney flower girl that Professor Henry Higgins tries to make over in My Fair Lady. Based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, My Fair Lady at the Lyric Stage of Boston follows the down-on-her-luck Eliza and chauvinistic speech therapist Henry Higgins, who decides to conduct an "experiment": He'll train Eliza to speak and carry herself as a lady. With its timeless score full of classic tunes ("I Could Have Danced All Night," "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?") and a clever story that's still relevant, no wonder My Fair Lady has been dubbed the "perfect musical."
