Cosi fan tutte

Cosi fan tutte

Girls go wild and boys behave badly in Così fan tutte -- an opera so spicy and sublime it could have only been composed by Mozart, music's ultimate bad-boy genius. Meet Ferrando and Guglielmo, two teenagers so confident of their sweethearts' fidelity (and their own magnetic personalities) that they decide to disguise themselves and attempt to seduce each other's fiancée. Their plan goes wildly awry when the women show affection for their new suitors, throwing the men into a tizzy and giving rise to some of the finest arias ever written. Thanks to a racy plot written by librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte -- himself a debauched priest rumored to have lived in a brothel -- Così fan tutte was rarely performed in its entirety until after World War II. Don't miss this charming musical at the Paramount Center's Mainstage.
