A Great Wilderness

A Great Wilderness

Boston Center for the Arts
539 Tremont Street Boston

Walt has devoted his life to counseling -- and "converting" -- homosexual teens at his remote Idaho wilderness camp. Pressured to accept one last client, Walt's carefully constructed life begins to unravel with the arrival of a new teen named Daniel. When Daniel disappears into the wilderness, Walt is forced to ask for help -- both in finding the missing boy and reconciling his past with the present. Written by Samuel D. Hunter, 2013 Drama Desk Award-winning playwright of A Bright New Boise and one of the rising stars of American theatre, A Great Wilderness explores timely, challenging issues with remarkable clarity and humanity.
