The Boston Conservatory presents this delightfully humorous musical, with music and lyrics by Lori Scarlett, and book by Patricia Cotter. Helen gets dumped by her girlfriend, and with the help of her gay pal Bob and her butch and femme lady friends Monica and Joanie, she jumps back into the dating game. Having premiered in Santa Monica in 2005, The Break Up Notebook won an Ovation Award for best new musical, and the L.A. Drama Critics Award for Best Score. It was also chosen by the National Alliance for Musical Theatre to be featured at their 2007 Festival of New Musicals.
