Smart People finds four Harvard intellectuals -- a doctor, an actress, a psychologist and a neurobiologist -- studying the human brain's response to race. Embroiled in a study concerned with whether our beliefs and our prejudices are, in fact, hard-wired into us, these four scientists also seek love, success and a sense of identity in our complex world. Celebrated playwright Lydia R. Diamond (Stick Fly) examines the difficult issue of racism with barbed wit and a keen eye on human nature in this controversial and ferociously funny production.
