321 Arsenal Street Watertown

Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Alfred Uhry with a score by Jason Robert Brown, the stirring musical Parade is based on the true-life story of Jewish factory foreman Leo Frank, who was convicted for the rape and killing of a 13-year-old girl in 1913 Atlanta. Set against the backdrop of Frank's controversial trial, this powerful story is part murder mystery, part social commentary and an exploration of the love that grows between Leo and his wife Lucille as they work to fight for his freedom against overwhelming anti-semitism. Parade won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Book and Best Musical Score.
