Walt McGough's new drama, presented by New Repertory Theatre, forges a connection between a U.S. military drone pilot and a man from the Pakistani village the drone attacked. The mistaken death of a young boy in the attack links the two men, who are thousands of miles apart. The drone pilot, addled with guilt and anxiety, struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder and looks for something human to hold on to. The Pakistani villager longs to comprehend the tragedy and put a face on a faceless enemy. A series of shared dreams lets them begin to truly see one another as the play explores questions of revenge, justice and connection in a time of seemingly perpetual warfare.
