Candlelight: The Lord of the Rings at Old South Church
The concert marks the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings and promises to be an unforgettable evening for fans and music lovers alike. The program spans the entire trilogy, featuring iconic pieces such as "Concerning Hobbits" and "The Breaking of the Fellowship" from The Fellowship of the Ring, "The Riders of Rohan" and "Evenstar" from The Two Towers, and "Minas Tirith," "The Ride of the Rohirrim," and "Into the West" from The Return of the King. The setlist and music sheets have been approved by Howard Shore, the official composer of the Lord of the Rings film scores.The Sanctuary at Old South Church is a breathtaking venue featuring stunning Gothic Revival architecture, making it a fitting backdrop for the grandeur of Tolkien's world. The intimate candlelit atmosphere adds an extra layer of magic to an already enchanting evening. The performance runs approximately 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before showtime. Please note that no entry is permitted once the concert begins.
