Golda's Balcony, the inspiring true story of Golda Meir - Russian immigrant, American school teacher, and fourth Prime Minister of Israel - premiered in 2002 at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Mass., directed by Daniel Gidron and featuring Elliot Norton Award-winner Annette Miller in the title role. Golda's Balcony went on to become the longest-running one-woman show in Broadway history, and now returns to its roots with Miller reprising her acclaimed performance, and Gidron returning to direct.

"...By the show’s end, which runs for an hour and 40 minutes, I left thinking about a line in the play in which Meir comments on how closely the Hebrew word for peace, shalom, is to the Arabic word for peace, salaam. And as wars rage on around the world, I wonder if we may ever achieve it."
