2 Arrow Street Cambridge
A vibrant musical play that uses hats to explore Black history, identity, and cultural traditions through the eyes of a young Black woman who visits her Southern aunt after her brother's death. Hats serve as symbols, telling stories of their historical and contemporary roles-from African rituals and slavery to church, funerals, and fashion. Blending gospel music, dance, and rap, the play celebrates the transformative cultural significance of hats, culminating in the young woman's embrace of her heritage.
