The 4th Witch Reviews
The Boston Globe - Recommended
"...There's no dialogue or narration in "The 4th Witch." None is needed. Jolting images and sounds more than suffice as Manual Cinema dramatizes a young girl's quest to avenge her parents, slain when a local warlord named Macbeth invaded their village."

"...The thrilling show, presented by ArtsEmerson through Nov. 9, is an inventive cautionary narrative inspired by Shakespeare's "Macbeth" that stokes the flames of emotionality and wonder with music, projection, actors in silhouette and shadow puppetry."
New England Theater Mirror - Highly Recommended
"...And what artistry! The blend of mesmerizing vocals and instrumentation by the musicians is otherworldly, and some of the special effects created by the puppeteers (especially the exploding bombs, created entirely via silhouette) are wildly clever. The precise timing of the performers as they race from projector to live screen while changing costumes and masks to create the live action is mind-boggling, and also as much fun to watch as what's appearing on the screen. The only problem lies with trying to decide what to focus on ? the story on the screen or its creators."
