Rudolph and his friends light up the stage in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, an exciting, song-filled adaptation of the classic 1964 holiday TV special that celebrates the misfit in all of us. From Rudolph, the reindeer who tries to conceal his very shiny nose before he realizes it's the only thing that can save Christmas, to his pals Clarice, Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, Santa and Mrs. Claus and even Bumble the Abominable Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical brings this fun, festive adventure to life. In addition to the classic title song by Johnny Marks, the show features great tunes like "There's Always Tomorrow," "Silver and Gold," "A Holly Jolly Christmas" and more. Share the fun at the Boch Center's Shubert Theatre in Boston.

Featuring elaborate set designs, spectacular costumes and stunning special effects, this holiday show tells the story of surly miser Scrooge, whose cold heart has isolated him from his community and the spirit of Christmas. Watch as visits from Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future send Scrooge on his transformational journey to rejoin the world, find redemption and discover what it means to open your heart and be fully human. Experience an enchanting night of Celtic music and dance in honor of the holiday season at Brian O'Donovan's annual A Christmas Celtic Sojourn at Boston's Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre. Seamus Egan of Solas leads the musicians of the 15th annual show, accompanied by harpist-singer Maeve Gilchrist, cellist Natalie Haas, and a phenomenal section of fiddles, guitars and virtuosic Uilleann piper Joey Abarta. Mairi Cambell from Scotland performs as featured singer, along with four-part vocal harmony from the group Windborne. Newly named dance director Kevin Doyle joins Lord of the Dance star and choreographer Maureen Berry and the young dancers from the Harney Academy of Irish Dance in Walpole. O'Donovan, the host of WGBH's national radio program, has been at the helm of this live show since 2003, and he promises plenty of surprises for a unique and memorable evening.

Of all the Christmas movies that have been made, there are only a couple that demand year-after-year viewings. A Christmas Story is one. Now you can experience this seasonal favorite as it comes to life onstage in a musical adaption. From the Red Ryder BB gun and bunny onesy to the leg lamp and tongue-on-flagpole incident, all the classic moments are relived as 9-year-old Ralphie Parker navigates the pitfalls of the season. His adventures are made even more hilarious with songs like "Sticky Situation," "Up on Santa's Lap" and, of course, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!" Fans of the movie will thrill to see this beloved tale come to life, while newbies are in for one fun introduction at The Bushnell in Hartford.

One of the world's most magical adaptations of Tchaikovsky's holiday classic, the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker pirouettes its way into Boston's Orpheum Theatre as part of its 25th anniversary tour. Almost 40 renowned dancers bring to life the timeless story of young Masha (Clara), who receives the gift of a nutcracker one Christmas Eve and dreams that night of a grand adventure with her Nutcracker Prince. Filled with larger-than-life puppets and nesting dolls, handmade Victorian-style costumes, gasp-inducing special effects and sets created by La La Land designer Carl Sprague, this perennial favorite is sure to cast its seasonal spell over the whole family.

Based on the movie of the same name, Miracle on 34th Street tells the story of single mother, Doris Walker, who doesn't want her six-year-old Susan's head filled with romantic notions. With Christmas approaching, Fred Bailey tries to woo Doris by charming Susan and taking her to see Santa Claus at the Macy's department store where Doris works. Over time, even Susan is convinced that this Macy's Santa may be the real Kris Kringle. Filled with humor and beloved songs like "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," this heartwarming holiday musical is fun for the whole family.
