Virginia Woolf's Orlando

Virginia Woolf's Orlando

Boston Center for the Arts
539 Tremont Street Boston

In this blithe and passionate adaptation of the 1928 gender-flipping Virginia Woolf novel, transformation and identity are magically explored. Orlando tells the story of an individual born as a male in Elizabethan England. Over the course of an astounding 300-year lifespan, Orlando mysteriously transforms into a female. Distinguished playwright Sarah Ruhl adapts and Woolf soars, with both writers winning accolades from actors and audiences alike. Bad Habit Productions' performance at Calderwood Pavilion in Boston will be directed by Daniel Morris Deane Hall.
