Inspired by playwright Bill Doncaster's stint working at a shelter in Cambridge and the death of one of its residents while he worked as a newspaper reporter, Two Boys Lost is a family drama dealing with the difficult burden of mental illness on all parties. Every Christmas Eve, Eddie Molineaux looks for his brother Jimmy to make his mother happy. Scared of shelters, Jimmy sleeps in the unlocked utility rooms of the MBTA. This is the last Christmas together for the entire family, and everyone wants to speak their piece, even if they don't know all the details about why that is.
