The Wild Party at The Boston Conservatory

You need no invitation, only a ticket, to attend The Wild Party, one of the most aptly named musicals of all time. Set amidst the decadence of 1920s Manhattan, showgirl Queenie has grown tired and resentful of her relationship with her vicious lover. To get back into the swing of things, she decides to throw a party. But as the guests -- a motley crew of colorful and unruly characters -- start to arrive, and the booze flows freely, the evening turns increasingly dark and decadent. Because what's frivolous debauchery at midnight becomes, by dawn, tragedy. This Boston Conservatory production of The Wild Party reminds us that no party can last forever.
