Dark comedy and dark matter merge in the latest comedy from Boston's Science Fiction Theatre Company. Astrid is desperate for a baby and down to her last ovum. Her final egg represents rock bottom for her reproductive chances, a symbol of sperm bank failures and unsuccessful hookups. There is only one thing left to try: dark matter. But if she becomes a mother through this method, Astrid must ask herself, "a mother to what?" Set in a dystopian future, The Singularity is a comedy about sex, reproduction and the unknown.
