Huntington Theatre
264 Huntington Ave Boston

With a mix of fact and fiction, columbinus tells the story of the Columbine school shootings through the eyes of the teenagers involved. An all too timely drama, this documentary-style play uses text drawn from interviews, public records and the shooters' private diaries to illuminate the realities of modern adolescent culture. Since it premiere in D.C. and ran off-Broadway, columbinus has been updated to include new and revised scenes derived from more recent interviews with the survivors of the 1999 shooting, as well as victims' families and town residents. The original work was co-written by Stephen Karam, whose play Sons of the Prophet was a 2012 Pulitzer Prize finalist and the winner of numerous awards.
