Barnum

Boston Center for the Arts
539 Tremont Street Boston

The big top circus was the creation of Phineas Taylor Barnum, a consummate showman who wasn't above creating a tall tale or two to entertain the crowds and make a buck. The musical Barnum delves into the life of this unique personality from inside the center ring of his own circus. You'll marvel as the play tells Barnum's tale, complete with the many famous characters he introduced to the world, all set to toe-tapping ballads, dazzling marches and ragtime tunes composed by Cy Coleman and Michael Stewart. Don't miss this Moonbox Productions presentation of the dazzling Barnum at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. This show is approximately two hours long, with one intermission, and is recommended for ages 8 and older.
