Stuck in Big Ugly, West Virginia, Eudora has dreams of leaving the town for good. In the meantime, she's been tasked with running her family's arcade while her father hits the bottle and her wealthy cousin Luann loafs around all day. Fortune seems to arrive when a mysterious stranger comes to town, taking a keen interest in a rare fortune-telling machine at the arcade. His offer thrills Eudora, and she sees a chance to escape her small town life -- but her family has other plans in store and won't let her leave without putting up a fight.
