Boston Center for the Arts
539 Tremont Street Boston

A compelling, contemporary play by Irish-American playwright Ronan Noone, Brendan centers around a young Irishman who makes his way to New York in order to start a new life for himself. Working hard to assimilate in his adopted country, earn his American citizenship and find love and meaning in this strange new land, Brendan's life is suddenly turned upside-down when the ghost of his mother starts following him around. And she's got quite a few opinions about his shameful new lifestyle, his friends and his nasty new habit of driving on the wrong side of the road. Funny and touching, this production of Brendan at the Boston Center for the Arts is all about love, loss and coming to terms with leaving the past behind us.
